The Nigerian People’s Parliament continues tomorrow, Monday, June 13, 2022, in the studio of Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, as from 0930 hours, on the segment of Adu & The Guru. And as usual, the debate will be robust, the discussion will be enriching and analysis shall be elongating frontiers of Nigerians’ grip on hidden spoils of the Nigerian political tricks of permutation and manipulation. You cannot afford not joining the discussion ipso facto.
Permit me to share a few points that shall be occupying the full attention of the Parliament tomorrow – l call them befitting teasers.
We might even be starting the story from Florida, in the United States of America, where a two years old – you probably did not hear me well, l said a two year old boy-child shot and killed his own father.
Who do you want to blame on this incidence – the child, the father or both parents, The Guru that is reporting and bringing the matter under discuss here in Nigeria, the Devil or God? Anyway, the whole world knows about the crazy lifestyle of America and Americans when it comes to the issue of guns and its ugly “stylishly” way of wanton killing with it.
It is like a game someone up there; within the kingdom of Principalities and Power – more of devil than God, has “ordained” them [the Americans] to bear. But this particular shooting, by this toddler, is awesomely pathetic and revolutionizing, albeit more in identification of that country as a place where sanity had yielded to societal criminality’s rules and regulations.
Let us move to other topics that we might be touching tomorrow, by the grace of God. Let us come back home from overseas to tackle things that are currently trending in Nigeria. And what can be more engaging than the sweeping primaries of political parties cutting across the country as the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] seems to be breathing down the neck of the parties.
The People Democratic Party [PDP] went first for its primary, and it produced Atiku Abubakar; former vice president of the Federal Republic and a man known to have traversed this terrain many times. There were intrigues, expectedly in that exercise and the joker card was played by Aminu Waziri Tambuwal – incumbent Sokoto State Governor.
By the way, there is nothing new there because it is intrigues and surprises that these set of people are able to pull that make them politician. Atiku won and Nyeson Wike, the governor of Rivers State, who contested in that show tenaciously, returned back to his State gallantly.
Then Peter Obi; former Governor of Anambra State – a man many people are worshipping already for being ever prudent in governance, left the PDP, pinched tent with the Labour Party, and within hours picked the ticket to carry the Party’s flag into the presidential election in 2023.
Then the big masquerade – the All Progressive Congress [APC], appeared for its primary. This Party even came with more baggage and coded luggage than any other one. It was to be expected as the course of studying who Muhammadu Buhari is, can never be an easy undertaking. What about the study of his body movement and listening to what he says, or does not say? Nothing about Buhari is easy – let us concede that to the man.
But beyond this dilemma, the President – Muhammadu Buhai, personally wrote a Movie script for the APC this time, in the just concluded primary. The Movie which the President segmented into 4 Parts – typical of the beginning of the Nigerian Nollywood actors trajectory; which was brilliantly written but poorly executed spoke much about the inner-person of Muhammadu Buhari in political maneuverings, manipulations and permutations.
Let me not bore you with the Four Parts of that film as we shall surely touch it tomorrow in the studio.
Won’t you want to know how, and maybe why, Kayode Fayemi, Godswill Akpabio, Amini Tambuwal, and others wasted over N1bn on flippant presidential ambitions? It should be a revelation that will interest you.
You may want to know about those; amongst those who picked their caps back from the ring while “presenting all their delegates/support – don’t be deceived, most of them had no delegates ab initio, to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, smile to their banks before even coming to the Primary ground at the Eagle Square in Abuja that day.
There are many other topical issues coming for discussion tomorrow and you can’t afford to miss any one of them.
