Governors El-Rufai of Kaduna State and Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State

The Guru welcomes all of you to this Sunday broadcast; prelude of those things that shall be discussed at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM studio, tomorrow, Monday, June 27, 2022, at the segment of Adu & The Guru, with an admonition; or putting it most succinctly, a vibrantly commanding instruction of Jesus Christ to one of his followers, who pulled a sword and dealt with one of his [Jesus Christ] attackers.

The command; which was well documented in the Bible book of Mathew 26:15, says “Put the sword back into its place. All those who use the sword will die by the sword.” This is the CEB [Common English Bible] translation because other translations put it slightly different.

Let us look at AMP [Amplified Bible] version of the translation which says “Put your sword back in its place; for all those who habitually draw the sword shall die by the sword”.

Huh! The message that the Lord Jesus Christ passed here is very simple. Yes, it so simple to those that understand, fear and obey God totally and not to the children of perdition. The Master told us to be careful of what we bring to human relationship trajectory because the same measure we bring to people shall be the same measure that shall be returned to us.

Isn’t that what the law of Kama stands for – philosophically speaking? That beautiful woman – Kama, ever traveling, comes to you and take whatever you throw on her away with her, and returns with the same material; good or bad, not minding the length of time it takes for her return journey, and drops that very same object your threw on her back at your doorstep.

The glory of Kama’s continuous orbit-journey is that her return time is not dependent on the position place of the one that gave her what she took away. No, if the person that gave her that she took away is not even around; even if the person is no more in existence, Kama is bound by her divinely regulated protocol of movement, to drop the object with the person’s successor in heritance. That’s just how Kama cookie crumbles.

That was the full interpretation of our Lord Jesus Christ’s instruction when he said that Those who killed by the sword shall die by the sword.

Back to one of the topics that we shall be discussing tomorrow, by the grace of God, is number 10 item on our Menu, and this item talks about the Governor of Zamfara State – Bello Muhammad Matawalle; who is now asking his people – I mean the citizens of the State of Zamfara, “to obtain guns for self-defense”.

What an irony of life? What a way with the Nigerian politician in manipulation of affairs within the estate of governance?

The typical Nigerian politician can better be described as falling appropriately within an acceptable adage in the Yoruba mythology, which says that “ape  ole wa ja, ape oloko wa mu”. Interpretation of this adage is that the same person that invited a thief to come and steal is the same person that puts the owner of the farm on notice to catch the thief.

We are not forgetting in hurry that Governor Bello Matawalle once told Nigerians that “it is not all bandits that are bad, or evil, because according to him, “there are some bad bandits and there are some good bandits”.

That was when the going between this Governor and the Terrorists – which the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration would hate to call so for whatever sympathetic reasons of hegemony or nepotism, was amiably ongoing.

But now that the field is becoming tighter for Bello Matawalle, he is now asking his people to prepare themselves for self-defense. What a catastrophic act of self-dilution?  What a tragedy in governance.

The Governor’s invitation on his people for acquisition of guns as a way of preparatory to self-defense did not even adequately explain the mechanism of how the Short Bore Double or Single Barrel gun could be adequate in match at any theatre of hostility where the opponents shall be coming with AK 47 or AK 49 Assault Rifles.

But this is not the attention of this trajectory today, as what we are doing is just to bring the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ to bear on events in today’s Nigerian.

Neither is The Guru saying that Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, nor his counterpart of him in Kaduna State – the erudite but absolutely loquacious Nasir El-Rufai, killed by the sword in the past so as to necessarily die by the sword now.

Except by the discussion of contemporary past events of invitation of some particular people into Nigeria for the purpose of pursuance of Jihad, and also the time of identification of the difference between good and bad bandits, the exercise of this narration wouldn’t have been prosecuted.

Stop throwing stones into the market square because you cannot be too sure if one of those stones may not be landing on your mother’s head, is another good adage l inherited from my father earlier in life.

So, tomorrow, join Adu & The Guru at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, starting from 0930 hours, to navigate together topical issues that are being presented to listeners across the globe. Governor Bello Matawalle cry of lamentation is just one of those issues.

Those unpatriotic foreigners “so called Nigerians” flooded our country with their brothers to assist them turn Nigeria into “Afhagnistan ” after they got intosticated with over dose of oil money. Rather than create industries,it was the funding of JIHAD that became their greatest preoccupation in a circular county like Nigeria which has consumed thousands of unarmed innocent Nigerians. In furtherance of this ” AGENDA” is the”MUSLIM -MUSLIM”ticket by the party’s presidential aspirant.
