Tomorrow, September 28, 2020, shall mark 2 years of Sadiq & The Guru on air, at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM. We started this weekly interesting but critical journey of topical review of issues on October 1, 2018. And to the glory of God, The Guru has sustained every Monday of the past 24 months on air; educating, revealing – what you will call secret things, entertaining, manifesting deep things of knowledge, with elaboration of historical background, without a break for a week.
I thank God who has given me the health for weekly appearance in the past 24 months.
And you know what? It has never been a burden of diminishing returns on me – physically, spiritually, mentally, physiologically, or any way otherwise, all these past two years, because God is always supplying all my needs in the abundance of His glory. I salute God’s faithfulness in all these.
I salute the the enterprising and audacious faithfulness of over Ten Millions followers of this program – Sadiq & The Guru, on line, across the globe. I dedicate the success of the past uninterrupted 2 years to my listeners all over the world.
And this promise l shall keep. Because you are never tired of listening to me every Monday, l shall never be tired of digging the best out of their hidden places, and be presenting same to you weekly. I have chosen; because of you (listeners), to enhance the horizon of this essential assignment. I shall never disappoint you as you shall be having the best of yours sincerely, which is yet to be revealed.
So tomorrow, at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, we shall come a little stylishly off the normal run of the mill because of the celebration enumerated above. I shall be bringing some notable Nigerians to discuss some very sensitive issues, and l shall be bringing a seasoned lawyer to the studio live, to discuss the topical issue of a new Bill to replace the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This erudite, young and bubbling lawyer – Barrister Emmanuel Tega Kafohro, might also be commenting on the decision of Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice; Abubakar Malami, suddenly recusing himself from testifying against Ibrahim Magu; the suspended Acting Chairman of the EFCC, before retired Justice Ayo Salami presidential Panel. Abubakar Malami (SAN), has suddenly discovered the “rights and privileges of his Office” as the reason of non-appearance against the man he accused of excess corruption in the first place. Nigeria! What a country!
All things being equal we might be hearing the voice of the Nigerian Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, tomorrow, as he will be talking with us about some of his tough assignment, since he resumed duty as Inspector General of Police, and how he was able to pull such most successful electioneering stint in Edo State. And maybe more, all things being equal.
I hope we are not forgetting in hurry that we had unfinished discussion with Barrister Mike Igini; the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akwa Ibom State. He shall be completing his narration about all we may want to know about achieving improved electioneering feat in Nigeria.
He will also tell us about those professors INEC invited for election matters in Akwa Ibom, but decided to corrupt, allegedly, the election, because they are either in court now or they are on their way.
Then this. “We want our country – Yoruba leader, Akintoye tells Buhari”. Can the Yoruba pull out of Nigeria without war? Will the sons and daughters of Oduduwa be able to create their own country outside Nigeria without bullets? Or will the Yoruba race be able to re-enact the Kiriji war (Ekiti Parapo) fought between 1877 – 1893 and re-establish itself? Is the Yoruba the only Race; amongst all the Races in the country that is tired of the Nigerian Federation? Let us discuss this seemingly herculean task that the Yoruba Race is challenging within the comity of the Nigerian federation, tomorrow.
Then, this last teaser. Donald Trump; the incumbent America President is shaking the Americans and he is introducing abnormality of political oddity around the world. It was to be unheard, unthought and unanticipated, until this “Dona” of a man arrived the American presidency, that any American would ever want to mess up the American Constitution as regards conceding victory in any election. Now, President Trump of America is “refusing to promise transfer of power” if he looses the incoming presidential election. We may need to beg our own former President Goodluck Ebere Jonathan to quickly organize a refreshers’ course for this emerging dictator in America – Donald Trump. I hope our own Goodluck Jonathan will oblige us this responsibility.
Permit The Guru to welcome us to our tomorrow with didactic enthusiasm as much shall be achieved, by the grace of God. Your Historical Perspective and the ever gracious Knowledge Dropbox are waiting for you, most assuredly.
