Tomorrow is Monday, October 5, 2020, and tomorrow’s date stands conspicuously for me because it is a date l picked deliberately in challenging my capabilities of doing more for humanity generally, and Nigeria particularly.
This is what l am saying. I have, within the past 40 years or thereabouts, tried my very best; within the jurisdiction of my professional calling, which is journalism, serving Nigeria and the Nigerian people’s interests. Yet, l am still being challenged daily by exorbitant urge of not doing enough, and this is against the background of the fact that my days are moving, slowly though, towards the inevitability of all mortals. By each passing day, l am challenged by this audacious urge of not being fulfilled yet, albeit in building a befitting legacy of a greater tomorrow for Nigeria – a country where all will rejoice and speak loudly to non-Nigerians that “equity, justice and honour rule supreme in our country”.
Tomorrow’s date is the first Monday after the 2 years anniversary of Sadiq & The Guru on air. Yes, the last two years have been eventful – for those adherent Ten Million followers (worldwide) of this program on line, but l am of the strong opinion that we can do better, in moving the level of the trajectory to another higher level. And this why tomorrow’s date; the first Monday in running into the third year of Sadiq & The Guru, must start with new life jibes and vibes.
Let me lay before all of us what l am setting out to achieve in the next one year, by the authority and approval of God. I am embarking on greater efforts in unifying the country, by doing many things on this Platform.
I said it before, and now is the time to kickstart my Talks with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah; not only in Nigeria, but graciously across the West Africa zone. And most gratefully two Nigerian individuals have offered to connect me with these groups (what this two individuals are doing is to give me the connection/link and not the financing). I sincerely hope, all things being equal; that at the end of this endeavour, there could be light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Another thing l am embarking upon very soon is visiting some notable and highly placed individuals in the North, most importantly of Fulani ethnicity, in attempt of solidifying existing bridges. Clearer vision of this mission is that there are bridges of unity built by our past leaders; and even by some present leaders, but the fact is that, either these bridges are not strong enough, built on falsified foundation, made weaken by some terrible Nigerian predators or by some other forces – known and unknown. I need to embark on voyage of discovery. By the end of tomorrow, l should be knowing my commencement date of this exercise, because the main God-provided link-man for this crucial endeavour spoke with me a few minutes ago about the “good news around the corner”.
There are many other things that need to be done, and l shall be updating all of us as info manifest in due course. But for sure, l will need support of all, in all ramifications, to succeed. And it is for this reason that l shall be launching very soon, on my website (www.godwintheguru.com) platform an Association of #PositiveNigerians. I am speaking about futuristic endeavours today. Let those who have ears to hear understand what is being said.
Enough on this as we preview few of tomorrow’s events at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, starting from 0930 hours when Sadiq & The Guru hit the airwaves.
The Nigerian Inspector General of Police has banned SARS from patrols, checkpoints and other sundry duties, so reported the media. Let us jointly interrogate this Order together tomorrow. Shall this be the first time an IGP is talking loudly like this? Where are the vibes in this “tough Order” that makes one to believe in what is being said?
“Minister: missing N2.72B school feeding cash not in my ministry”. This is being said by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development; Madam Sadiya Umar Farouq. It doesn’t matter either she is the one or not (is she without her baggages in this pilfering business enveloping almost all public functionaries in Nigeria?) whosever that stole our collective money of 2.72 billion, in the name of feeding school children at a time that these children were not in school, must return our money to the National Till. Buhari owes Nigerians the duty to forcefully recover our monies from these thieves he appointed, parading the Nigerian economic horizon with uncontrolled impunity. Enough is enough.
A Nigerian Judge President Muhammadu Buhari nominated for International Criminal Court (ICC) job, Justice Ishaq Bello; the Chief Judge of the the FCT High Court, ranked too low amongst 20 contestants, thereby making Nigeria to loose out on the that lucrative job. Terrible!
There are more in addition to those we shall be listening to in tomorrow engagement, without losing your Historical Perspective and Knowledge Dropbox.
We are having Barrister O’tega Kafohro tomorrow to continue his unfinished assignment of last week Monday, on the EFCC and Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. He will have more than enough time tomorrow.
I shall also be speaking with our most urban and erudite narrator on the Nigerian political and historical trajectory – Abubakar Siddique Mohammed, on some subjects concerning Boko Haram, insistence of President Buhari holding on to over-fatigued Service Chiefs in many battles of survival for the Nigerian Nation State and the reasons why the Bandits in the North West are waxing stronger. You surely will enjoy his narration.
